"Kindergarten Sous Chef"
If I do no other good in this life, at least I have had a part in creating this one:
He didn't want to speak because the onion fumes irritated his mouth--this in addition to his eyes and nose, but he didn't have a "gaping maw" goggle on hand.
Since he's certainly not getting off the hook as my kitchen helper, I guess we know what to get him next Christmas.
A mouth plug.
Awwww. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI like that voice - there are voiceover possibilities there.
ReplyDeleteI can't say as I blame him on the onion and irritation thing. My daughter Mandy would tell him to run for his life is onions are involved in ANYTHING though! Considering his age, I think he did pretty darned good with the chopping. Maybe he does have a food prep future. Peace.
ReplyDeletethis really ruins my glass onion glasses, made out of real onions.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the deal? I ALWAYS wear a getup like that when I chop onions.
ReplyDeletehaha I love how he has to go all commando to chop onions!
ReplyDeleteI can't get over the size of that knife!!
ReplyDeleteI see an iron chef in the making
ReplyDeletewell, we don't want the poor kid to die so maybe we get him a gas mask. those things crack me up anyway.
ReplyDeleteNow that is preparation!
ReplyDeleteNext time save the poor little chap by keeping the onions in the fridge and then chop really quickly.....works for me.
Cheers
I was a little afraid he was going to chop his fingers off with that massive knife.
ReplyDeletePaco is an absolute masterpiece. Your kids ROCK! :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been away from the blogosphere a long time and had to jump back in here first. I'm diggin' the addition of video! It adds a whole extra layer of awesomeness and just makes me realize that I wish we had a Jocelyn in our neighborhood. Oh, and I would have voted for circles, btw, but they were both nice.
What a great onion chopping outfit!!
ReplyDeleteit's so great - he is apparently a " there are no problems, only challenges" kind of guy.. :o))
ReplyDeleteGood boy!
ReplyDeleteDid you use the chopped onions as they were or do some more chopping?
That is terrific! Between the goggles and the gi, that kid knows how to chop his onions!
ReplyDeleteAgh couldn't view the video (or is it a picture?). Guessing from the comments that I'm really missing out.
ReplyDeleteOh my heavenly tacos!
ReplyDeleteThis made me giggle. I was so afraid he would lose a digit, but alas, he is a true master with the k-nife.
Onions - $.89/lb. Paco chopping - Priceless. The beauty is that, given your voluminous blogging, by the time he figures out that this is online for the world to see, there's no way he'll find it!
