A few weeks ago, I danced over to Jazz's blog and enjoyed a welcome surprise: her post that day had been hand-written. It startled me how much I liked seeing her handwriting and not just her typing; it reminded me of the individual behind the blog; it gave me a glimpse into her Herishness.
Hence, I've co-opted that idea, as you can see below (click on the image to enlarge it--and then zoom in even more!). While my handwriting has never been stellar, it has seen a marked degeneration in the last two decades, as I've graded thousands of student essays. As well, I wrote the page below as we drove 70 mph on the highway last night, after dark, heading home from a holiday weekend away. All that in mind, you can still accuse me of being illegible, and I'll have to nod in agreement.

That is FAR more legible than anything I could produce.
Reading handwriting is also a skill that is becoming rusty. But I love this idea of the handwritten post.

I can't write legibly anymore even on a level table with good light, so if I want anyone to actually read my posts, I will continue to type them.

As to the handwriting though, yours is quite legible compared to mine! LOL If I start to write anything, by the time I get to the 10th word, my penmanship has deteriorated greatly. And, if you'd have seen my notes, taken in my college classes, you'd wonder how I ever was able to read them to study and pass ANY courses! I used to fall asleep in class while writing notes and my scribbling would often end up as just a squiggly line with no way to determine at all what it was I had been trying to write.
Truth be told, I'm not nostalgic about handwriting. It gives me a headache to read my wife's aunt's 5 page birthday letters filled with the minutiae of life in Pine Island, Minnesota. Sure there's the whole personality thing, but give me 12 point helvetica any time.
Your handwriting is VERY legible. Many happy returns to your man--do you always make him a list? I always write a "Top Ten" of the last year on D's birthday card each year.

I think it is fairly legible under such strenuous conditions. And I like all the embellishments - I used to love hi-lighting and colouring squares around important words when I used to take notes.
Fascinating. You have broken my record. When I write, I make three different tails on my Ys on just a short note. I see that you make FOUR different G tails. I've always wondered what it meant.
